Wedding band found... returned to owner's family 2 years later

In 2019 I was metal detecting a hiking trail next to a local beach in Randaberg. Among the finds was a wedding band in yellow gold. The ring was engraved with a name and date so my wife posted this find on a "lost and found" page for our area. After two years we got contacted by someone who believed they knew who this could belong to. The widow of the owner of the ring came to us and explained that her husband was deceased some years back and could tell us that the ring had been lost in the 1970's! The ring was returned and will be passed on to the grandson of the original owner. So after being lost for almost 50 years the ring got back to the family it belongs to...
