$20,000 Lost Ring Found Underwater @ Coogee Beach

Michael Oliver from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been called out to many recoveries this week from Milk Beach for a lost phone underwater, Bronte Beach for a lost wedding ring, lost car keys at Narrabeen Beach, Diving the Parramatta river for a lost watch and today I received a call from Coogee Beach for a lost Diamond ring worth over $20,000 the owner explained she lost it while swimming in 5 feet of water on the mid tide rising, I wanted to rush out right away but experience with Coogee beach I cannot dive it as the tide is rising. I'm feeling frustrated as the tide is too high to search now in 7 feet of water, I explain not to worry I will be there first thing in the morning on the low tide. The owner gave me a rough idea of the search area, unfortunately she could not be there to help as she was out of the state on holiday. I got down to Coogee Beach with ONLY a rough idea of the search area. I used my experience and watched other swimmers on their movements in the water along with the information provided by the owner, I set up my grid search and turned on my XP Deus ll metal detector. I take the search out into deeper water on the low tide this will be further out than the owner was swimming. That's ok as I set up the grid and metal detecting back into the shallow waters. This search is going to be bigger than expected as I prefer to make search grids larger when owners are NOT sure this way it Guarantees I will find the ring. 5 minutes into the search I found 1 bottle cap, it's pretty clean in the water. Now 10 minutes into the search I find a crusty old 20 cent coin on the second grid line, after finding more coins I feel I'm bang smack in the drop zone. Now 4 grid lines in on the 40 minute mark I get a great T.ID reading on my metal detector Feeling pretty confident I dig the target and watch the sand sift through my shovel underwater and BINGO I see this beautiful glimmer of gold and diamonds looking up at me, reaching down to grab the ring before a wave hits me I jump out of the water screaming we got it!! a few swimmers watching me search came over congratulating me saying (mate I did not think you could find it, WOW that's an amazing job you did) I told the swimmers that's exactly what the owner thought I would not find her ring as she could only provide a rough estimate of the search area most people thought this was IMPOSSIBLE. I simply came out expecting to spend up to 6 hours in the water and started my metal detecting search in the deeper waters on the low tide and blew out the search area 3 times bigger, it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to NOT find the lost ring is how I see it. GO BIG OR GO HOME haha 😂 if it's there, I will find it!!

Lost Ring @ Bondi Beach Reunited with Owner

MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been called out to find lost rings on Bondi Beach, Tamarama Beach, Shelly Beach, Manly Beach, Cronulla Beach and Coogee Beach this week. Many of the lost rings I've had to find this week have been underwater in the surf, I love the ocean Metal detecting. Today we got a call from the owner's husband who was too devastated. She lost her ring and had to leave the beach as she was overwhelmed with stress. After speaking with the husband the search area was confirmed and before I started the search I reassured them both if your ring is in this location I will find it, if it is NOT here we will increase the search area till it's found. I'm not going anywhere till your ring is found!! I grid out the search area and start my search using my XP Deus ll Metal Detector and Quest X-Pointer Pro (Pin Pointer) a few minutes into the search I find a bunch of bottle caps, the husband was getting very excited and was surprised at how small some of the metal targets the metal detector can detect and at depth. 20 minutes into the search and Bingo I get a great T.ID reading on my detector, I said this looks like it could be your ring. He asked how can you tell, I replied after finding over 1,000 rings. You understand what your detector is telling you by sound, depth and T.ID reading. I reach down with my quest X-Pointer Pro detector to locate the possible lost engagement ring and sure enough as I move the sand with my hand we BOTH see that beautiful glimmer of GOLD and he jumps shouting you bloody legend Michael it's remarkable you were able to guess just about every target before you dug it. I had my doubts Michael I have to Admit BUT with you being so confident I knew you would find my wife's ring THANK YOU Michael.

Found & Reunited Owner With Her Lost Ring

Michael Oliver from Lost Jewellery Recovery Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has received a few call outs from a young married couple who lost their wedding ring on Bondi Beach, this was a towel flick I found it within a few minutes. A few days later I had a dive in 5 metres of water at Clovelly Beach, the owner lost a signet ring this was a close call as I searched outside the original search area the owner thought their ring was in and an hour later I found the ring in amongst the kelp weed. this I have to say was a difficult search and i'm happy I could get the ring back to the owner before they left for over seas that coming week. This call out was time stressing from a young lady who just lost her gold ring that was a gift from her family, the owner called me and explained how much her ring means to her and felt gutted for losing it. I explained to the owner DO NOT WORRY!! if your ring is here I will find it, this reassurance gave the owner some relief. I explained how I am going to find your ring and why I know I will find it. It's a late night metal Detecting search this does not matter as I hunt by sound and the moonlight gives me the best light I love it. 20 minutes into the search I find a few coins that have a similar T.ID reading to gold rings along with a few bottle tops to be expected. Now 30 minutes into the search my metal detector reads a surface target the T.ID is good and I knew I had found her ring. I use my pin pointer to locate the target and BINGO just as I scrape away the sand the owners ring is revealed to us. She jumps higher than a gold medalist at the Olympics for joy, Thank you Michael!! I am so grateful to have my ring back and I'll take your advice and have it resized, your most welcome and thank you for reaching out and contacting me your ring has been with you for so long now it would be very sad to of lost it forever.
