Lost Ring Found after Father passed away @ Bondi Beach

MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been called out to many Beaches this week, in search for lost sun glasses, lost mobile phone, lost gold chains and lost wedding rings. Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, Shelly Beach, Bronte Beach, Maroubra Beach, Avalon Beach and Whale Beach are just a few beaches I've detected this week. Today I get the call from a distressed owner who has just lost his wedding ring 40 metres out into the water on Bondi Beach, the ring was given to him by his father who passed away a few years ago, this ring was in fact his fathers wedding ring. I spoke with the owner reassuring him NOT to worry mate, I will find your lost ring. 40 minutes later I arrive on the beach, with over 10,000 people on Bondi beach today I thought this was going to be difficult to metal detect, until the owner said ( I did not swim between the flags, I swam in the rip) the good news is I will not be metal detecting over 100 swimmers haha!! the BAD news is rips are well known to move lost rings due to the strong current. I set up my search with the XP Deus ll metal detector extending the search area to 20 metres long, the first 2 hours I got I find a few bottle caps now 3 hours into the search my shoulders are burning from metal detecting in the strong current bends my metal detector shaft it's that strong!! BINGO I get the first quality T.ID reading on my metal detector feeling confident this is the owners lost ring, I wait for the set of waves to come through as finding the ring is the easy part digging it without losing it in the surf is the next challenge. With over 1,000 lost jewellery recoveries under my belt I feel confident in even the most challenging surf conditions I have not lost a ring yet and today will not be the first. pulling the shovel from the sand I watch the sand sift through my shovel holes and the glimmer of gold is revealed, I scream out in relief after a long 3 hours I got that little bugger!! Surf life savers come over to congratulate the find as I look in the distance the owner and his wife are running out into the water his wife was so excited jumping clear out of the water saying Thank You Michael THANK YOU!! we head back into shore together where it's safe to hand over the lost ring. The Owner was beyond words saying (Michael we knew you will find it you are so precise as we watched you metal detect hour after hour, your physical endurance in the surf is impressive to see)

Found & Reunited Lost $4,000 Ring @ Bondi Beach

MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services has been finding and reuniting lost wedding rings lost phones and lost car keys all week. Christmas day I was called out to dive for a lost mobile phone lost in a rock pool in Wollongong. Another ring was lost on Coogee Beach Found in just 10 minutes. A lost Engagement Ring on Cronulla Beach in Knee deep water was also reunited with the young newly weds. I just received a call for a lost ring at Bondi Beach on Christmas Eve, the owner was carrying his young child when he was struck by a wave on the shoreline. His wedding ring came off his finger and disappeared into the whitewash he searched frantically when a few locals said, don't worry mate call up Michael Oliver he's (the lord of the rings) he will find it. After receiving the call I was at Bondi beach 20 minutes later, the owner walked me through how he lost his wedding ring, I then reassured him, your ring is here and I will find it for you mate. I first search the gutter, it was not the drop point however the shore break was strong theres a possibility the ring was dragged into it. 20 minutes later no ring in the gutter thats good news I then proceed to set up another 2 grids, the waves are pounding on me as I'm right in the shore break it's important I don't miss an inch, I have to swing my detector with accuracy against the surf or I will miss this ring!! after another 26 minutes I get a Great T.ID reading on my underwater metal detector. I can see it's not exactly a surface target, the owner rushes over asking what he can do to help. I said we have to be patient I cannot just dig it as the surf can smash the ring out of my scoop if I dig it too fast!! I hold my ground patiently waiting between sets of waves, OK now I line it up and start to dig first scoop no ring it is deeper as expected I take another scoop of sand and BINGO as the water pulls the sand from my scoop we see this Beautiful Gold Diamond ring being exposed!! you did it, Michael you found my lost ring. you really are the LORD OF THE LOST RINGS thank you Michael. You are most welcome its my pleasure to be able to help you mate. The Bondi Life Guards come over asking Michael who's ring have you found today mate and the ring you found last week in the surf was inspiring the owners said to say thank you, you are doing great work for the community. The owner and his father reach out giving me a big hug, thank you for coming out so fast and the day before Christmas we deeply appreciate your efforts, Thank you. Metal detecting is NOT my hobby it's my LIFE, I live to metal detect. I love it!! Metal detecting professionally for well over 10 years now BOTH on land and under water, I've performed well over 1,000 lost jewellery recoveries in some of the toughest working conditions against all odds when people say it can NEVER be found it's IMPOSSIBLE, I laugh and say if the ring is here I will find it
