The weekend was off to a great start. My family and I were enjoying a sunny day on St. Augustine beach when suddenly I realized that my engagement ring had slipped off my finger in ankle deep water. We immediately began searching, attempting to take current and undertow into consideration. After an hour of searching we began googling someone to help. Adams name popped up and we gave him a call. He was extremely easy to communicate with and was headed our way in minutes. He showed up ready to search. HE FOUND MY RING. Both myself and my fiancé are so thankful for Adam and all he does! I had called someone else right away after the ring was lost. I gave it a few days and still had no reply. Getting anxious as time was slipping by, I researched again. I found Jeff Morgan and within less than 24 hours of that first phone call, Rob was wearing his ring again! We had just about given up on any hope the ring could be found. But Jeff did it! My husband lost his gold wedding ring while snorkeling in Kapalua Bay in an area pretty far off the shore with a lot of rocks and coral. My husband searched for half an hour and wasn’t able to find it. The nice guys at the Montage beach rental hut recommended we call Dave. My husband was skeptical it would be found, but I was hopeful after reading so many of Dave’s awesome reviews! Dave came out the next morning and found it within 45 minutes of meeting us! Pretty miraculous considering it was lost so far out in the bay where everything looks the same. So relieved and thankful- honeymoon saved!

Update*** Rings were found this morning! I can’t believe it!!! I’m in total shock and in awe of the kindness we received via this forum. My husband, I & our families searched for my rings for 5 days before we reached out to the Irish metal detecting forum. We had hired a metal detector from a local hardware supplier but it was useless for finding rings as we had scanned the area where the rings were found several times. Jugins kindly offered his help & when I asked how early would suit him to meet this morning, he said 6am! So it meant my husband could meet him early and they could search together before my husband had to go to work. To our amazement the rings were pretty close to where we were sitting on beach. (I had taken them off to put sun cream on my baby & had forgotten to put them back on!!!.) Jugins went above and beyond a good deed and expressed a level of kindness that is rarely seen nowadays. He agreed to meet up promptly as I figured he knew how important/sentimental the rings were to me. Today was our last ditch attempt to find the rings before calling the insurance company but thankfully we didn’t need to! Jugins found both rings in less than 30 minutes and refused to take any money for his time and didn’t want any reward for finding the rings. He just about agreed to take some petrol money. My husband said we couldn’t have found a nicer man to help us. He is a true gentleman, what we would call “salt of the earth”. It’s rare in this day and age to find such a kind person. We would like to thank Jugins from the bottom of our hearts - it has saved us a lot of time, money & heart ache. The rings could be replaced but we know insurance companies won’t cover the full replacement value of rings and they'd also hike the premiums for many years afterward but more importantly, it’s the sentimental value that’s attached to them. These are the rings my husband put on my finger on our special day. Jugins, you are our hero today! Thank you so so so much! PS - I have learnt my lesson (to never take my rings off unnecessarily)

Two rings was lost on beach

Michael this Rolex is really priceless as it's going to be a PRESENT to my daughter when she grows up. I wanted my daughter to have something special that I wore while she was growing up. This Rolex will have many memories attached to it, including Michael Oliver the Metal detectorist who saved the day. Thank Michael

It was the day before NYE on a remote beach north of Coffs when my partners daughter lost her engagement ring whilst camping. I found Michael in a Google search and asked if he knew of anybody in the Coffs Harbour area who may provide a metal detector service. He put me onto Kyle and he was immediately onto it, enthusiastic, checking tide times, his gear and ready to go. Kyle didn’t hesitate with the hour long drive and 20-30km of it on gravel road, sand dunes and wading through the creek for the last section to the camp. He searched the sand through until 10pm under torch light with no luck, but he then returned the next morning. Within 20min he found it!!
