MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been on the hunt day and night 24/7 this last week has been busy with lost rings and lost i phones underwater!! from Woollongong Beach, Coogee beach, Whale Beach, Brighton Le Sands, Cronulla Beach, Bondi Beach, Milk Beach, Shelly Beach, Parramatta River and the list goes on!! recovering over $30,000 in lost treasures for owners this past 2 weeks👍 Today I get the call from an Owner who has lost his wedding ring at Frenchman's Bay Sydney. After speaking on the phone, the owner made it clear his ring was lost in the water at chest deep. I met with the owner at location within the hour, Normally chest deep water is fine, my BIGGEST mistake is that I did not expect the owner to be 7ft tall, so chest deep on him means a dive system for me haha 😂 luckily the tide was going out, I set up my grid search explaining I'll chase the tide out this will allow me to be in chest deep water myself and moving into deeper water as the tide drops off. Using my XP Deus ll Metal detector 15 minutes into the search i have found a 20 cent coin and 2 bottle caps I explain to the owner this is not a trashy search area meaning i'll find your ring sooner rather than later. 40 minutes into the search I get this high T.ID reading into the 80's and she is shallow!! I scream out to the owner THIS COULD BE IT!! a crowd of people close in on me as I start to dig the target, on the first scoop she is in the shovel, we all watch the sand sift from the shovel and BINGO this glimmer of GOLD is in the shovel and the crowd goes wild everyone jumping for joy, Michael how did you know this was the ring?? well after finding well over 1,000 rings through out the years I can guess most targets in my scoop before I even dig them now. The owner was so excited to have his wedding ring back, I asked how your partner felt when you lost it and he said well she was not impressed I explained thats ok mate, it's a natural reaction it was never lost you knew where it was so it was just misplaced for a moment.
