Wedding band found... returned to owner's family 2 years later

In 2019 I was metal detecting a hiking trail next to a local beach in Randaberg. Among the finds was a wedding band in yellow gold. The ring was engraved with a name and date so my wife posted this find on a "lost and found" page for our area. After two years we got contacted by someone who believed they knew who this could belong to. The widow of the owner of the ring came to us and explained that her husband was deceased some years back and could tell us that the ring had been lost in the 1970's! The ring was returned and will be passed on to the grandson of the original owner. So after being lost for almost 50 years the ring got back to the family it belongs to...
Garden landscaping resulted in lost wedding band

Many years ago ( I think it was in 2016), a friend of mine contacted me to tell me that she had seen a post on facebook that a person in Randaberg had lost his wedding band while working in the garden. I got in touch with him and agreed to look for the ring with my metal detector. The garden was quite a work site... all the grass had been removed and a lot of digging had been done. I started the recovery and after about 30 minutes the ring was found. Luckily just a few centimeters under the surface. The owner was very happy of course...

An emergency call out just came in as the owner and his brother were wrestling on their stand up paddle boards the youngest brother tackled his brother off the board into the water. The brother felt his wedding ring come off his finger and straight away started searching the water after a failed attempt they took to the internet and found ljrworldwide.com and contacted fellow member Michael Oliver to come out and perform a search. after speaking with the owner i let him know ( don't worry your ring is there and i will find it) I met the owner at location and after an hour of grid searching using our XP Deus ll Metal Detector to help find the lost ring we came across a Cartier Pendant was one of the first treasure finds as i continue the search underwater I came across a good signal and BINGO we found the owners lost gold wedding ring. he was so happy there were hugs all round and the people on the beach were in shock the ring could even be found. Diving for Stefanie's Lost iPhone

ljrworldwide.com received a call from Stefanie who had just lost her iPhone at Woolwich Baths in Sydney Harbour in 3 metres of water. Today we used our underwater metal detector the XP Deus ll, Quest X-Pointer Max and our Blu3 Nemo Dive system to search for Stefanie's lost treasure. Her iPhone had over 30 thousand photos on it of her first holiday in Fiji. I dive down to 3 metres once I touched the ocean floor the silt kicked up leaving zero visibility I had to rely on sound of my metal detector not eye sight, after 20 minutes of searching I removed a few house and car keys and plenty of beer cans then BINGO I get a high tone and i reach down and feel the smooth front of the iPhone hoping its going to be Stefanie's lost iPhone I come out of the ocean and reveal the iPhone to Stefanie. David has just lost his gold diamond wedding ring while swimming at Malabar Beach Sydney, Dave was married for over 30 years with his loving wife who unfortunately passed away 20 years ago. The loss of David's wedding ring was too much to bare as it's one of the last precious memories he has of his wife. James 6th Year Marriage Anniversary, Lost His Ring today

Today lost jewellery recovery receive a callout from James who has lost his wedding ring on their 6 year wedding anniversary. After an hour of searching underwater they give up hope and turn to goggle search and find ljrworldwide.com and call member Michael Oliver to come out and dive for their lost wedding ring. Reunited $50,000 Gold, Diamond, Opal Chain to Owner

Today we receive a Lost Jewellery Recovery Metal Detecting service call out from owner Michael, who unfortunately lost his Gold Diamond Opal chain in the water while swimming at Cronulla Beach. Michael was devastated both because the chains value was over $50,000 in value and the fact it took Michael 3 years to find the perfect opal he can then have placed in this beautiful rose gold chain. After speaking with Michael i got down to location within the hour, Michael lost his gold treasure on the rising tide and by the time I got to location the lost gold chain was in 7 foot of water. I continued the search for almost 3 hours free diving under the crashing waves till sun down. The search had to be called off as the tide and weather conditions picked up. I came out of the water calling off the search for the night and reassured Michael his gold chain is still there and I will contact a few metal detectorist's I know and trust to come out and resume the search the next day. We used the XP Deus ll metal detector with the help of the Manticore my good mate John got down to location early and just as I got to the beach, I see John come out from the ocean holding a beautiful and very large gold chain. I then called up the Owner Michael informing him my good mate John has just found his lost gold chain over video phone, Michael had a few tears in his eyes as he could not believe his eyes as I showed him his chain on live video chat. I then drove out to Michael's Home and delivered his lost gold chain in person. Today we received a Metal Detecting call out from Jackie, who unfortunately lost her mothers wedding ring. To Make matters worse Jackie's mother had just passed away recently. Today we received a call from Nick who lost his Gold Diamond Wedding Ring at Little Bay. Both Nick and his wife were worried the ring was NOT going to be found, they then search the internet for metal detecting services and found lost jewellery recovery worldwide, and seen we are ring finders using metal detectors. Not just lost rings we also specialise in finding anything that is made of metal like watches, mobile phones, wallets, sunglasses etc. After speaking with Nick on the phone, I let him know ill be at location in 15 minutes however Nick is from the western suburbs. I started the Lost Jewellery Recovery using my XP Deus ll Metal Detector with the Quest X-Pointer Max Pin pointer by my side. I searched one 10 by 10 metres grid just as Nick got to location. I explained a large chunk of the search area for the lost ring has been covered. Nick jumped up and ran over and seen his lost wedding ring just 2 inches deep in the sand that was lost the day before. Today Lost Jewellery Recovery Worldwide Metal Detecting Service received a metal detecting callout from a young lady who unfortunately lost a very special 18k white gold ring, while playing in the park with her child. This is one of the most unique and Rare lost gold rings i've been requested to find, the ring is acturally a gold chain with the letter C on it. After speaking with the owner I jumped in my car and headed straight to location where the ring was lost. I used my XP Deus ll metal detector with the Quest X-Pointer Max Pin Pointer by my side, I set my metal detector on Gold Field Mode and increased the sensitivity as this ring is NOTHING like other rings I find. After an hour of searching and finding toy cars, kids ice cream money and tiny specs of aluminium, I came across a very low signal T.ID reading of low 20's on my XP Deus ll about an inch below the sand. This is a very low signal that could of been easily missed if I had my metal detector just an inch off the ground the target world of been missed. I reach down to remove the sand and BINGO we are on the GOLD I first see the gold chain shimmering in the sunlight. The Owner then raced over in total shock her ring was found and said thank you so much Michael THANK YOU, the owner reached out and gave me the biggest bear hug. I could see in her eyes how much this beautiful ring meant to her and I am most happy this is a successful ring rescue. Lost Jewellery Recovery just received a call from Alex, who lost her wedding and Engagement in the water while swimming at the beach in Murray Rose Pools also know as Red Leaf baths. Alex had an appointment and left the beach I've swam down to the ocean floor setting up the gridlines about 20 metres of gridline is released for this search. 1 hour into the dive i find a small 925 silver chain, 1 SS Ring, a few pairs of sunglasses a few dive masks, coins and 2 Apple watches and not yet Alex's lost rings. On the 5th gridline I get a T.ID reading of mid 70's followed by another close target in the mid 50's T.ID reading straight away I knew both targets were just on the surface and BINGO, I found Alex's engagement ring first then less then 30cm away I find her other gold ring. I'm so excited pumped with adrenaline, I then lockup and secure both lost rings and exit the water. take a quick shower to clean all the salt water off my metal detecting gear and run straight to the car, jump on the phone with Alex giving her the AWESOME news. Alex i found your lost rings, Alex then said NO WAY thank you so much Michael. Where did you find them? I found both of them just outside the initial search area closer to the shore line in about 2.5 metres of water. Lost Jewellery Recovery Metal Detecting Service just received a call from Alex, who unfortunately just lost her wedding ring and Engagement ring while swimming at a Beach in Sydney Harbour Pool at Red Leaf. Alex explained the search area was about 3 metres of water depth and murky water conditions. I explained visibility is NOT a problem as I hunt by sound NOT always by sight. I use the XP Deus ll metal detector with the Quest X-Pointer Max Pin pointer teamed up with the BLU3 Nemo Dive system to perform this Lost Jewellery Recovery. Im now at the beach with Alex, she is explaining where she swam and where she thinks the rings will most likely be. After gathering all the information I need from Alex I then explained the method I will use, to help find these rings. LJR will start the grid search a few metres back from where you think the rings are and work into the search area this way if you guess of the search area is wrong thats ok, as I am going to search the surrounding location by using a Gridline search formation. Gridlines are extremely accurate in finding Lost Treasures. I've found Millions of dollars in lost gold treasures using gridlines, I've found hundreds of lost rings Underwater. They are a very affective, Alex Left the beach to go back to work. I'm now setting up my gridlines diving down to 3 metres to the ocean floor. Just 20 minutes into the search I've found 2 apple watches, sunglasses, Dive Masks, coins and a bunch of trash that will be placed in the bin after the dive. almost an hour into the search for the 2 lost rings, I came across a T.ID reading SURFACE of 70's on the XP Deus ll and another close to it at mid 50's T.ID just as I take a closer look through the murky water I see a glimmer of GOLD and BINGO I am on the first lost ring, It's Alex's Engagement ring. Followed by Alex's other gold ring. I'm so excited jumping from the water, I ran up to the car and called Alex with the AWESOME news. Alex we found it, She replied NO WAY thank you so much Michael. I'm leaving work right now to see you. 20 minutes later Alex was back on location she was so grateful and very much happy to have both of her lost rings back on her finger where they belonged she gave me a big hug and asked where did you find them? Lost Jewellery Recovery was called out to perform an UNDERWATER metal detecting search for this beautiful gold engagement ring lost in 3 metres of water in Sydney harbour. I used the XP Deus ll metal detector to help find the lost ring, teamed up the BLU3 Nemo dive system capable of diving for over 2 hours on a single battery.
