I received a call from from a newly engaged couple. They had only been engaged for 2 weeks. She told me she was down by the water and then noticed her engagement Diamond ring was missing from her finger. She said she searched the area frantically and was unable to find her ring. After informing me of her location on St. Augustine Beach I dropped everything and immediately met her on the beach. After grid searching the location I was able to find her engagement ring and return it to her. I told her to get a fake ring for the beach so she would not be a repeat customer. She and her Fiancé were so happy I was able to find her engagement ring.

I had a call from a client who was from Indiana and told me he lost his Gold Meteorite Wedding Band in the grass near a park in St. Augustine, Fl. He had the general idea of the area he lost it, but informed me it was 25 days ago. I told him I would be glad to respond to the area but would be limited since St. Augustine is the oldest city in America and digging is not permitted. I was there less than 10 minutes before being approached and notified that metal detecting and digging is prohibited. I told the authorities about the wedding ring that was lost by my client and showed them a picture of what the ring looked like. I told them I did not have any digging tools and would only use my vibrating probe in attempt to locate the ring in the grass. They allowed me to continue my search as long as I did not dig or remove any other items besides trash. I received a call from Mary who told me her son proposed to his now fiancée on their private dock in St. Augustine, FL. The bride to be lifted up her hand to show the ring to family when flew off her finger and fell between the dock decking and into the dark water 10’ below. My first attempt to find the ring was unsuccessful as the water had about 3-6” of visibility and a bone chilling 55 degrees. I searched for about an hour until the sound of my chattering teeth overwhelmed the sound of the metal detector. I returned 2 days later hoping for better visibility and warmer water but no such luck. This search was very challenging because not only was the visibility almost non existent but the sea bottom floor was covered in bed of oysters. On this dive I was fortunate to have my friend Sean from Hunting4History to assist me. We were equipped with 2 SeaGhost metal detectors, 2 Blu3 Nemo tankless diving systems, and underwater LED lights. Lost Jewellery Recovery received a metal detecting call out from a young lady who unfortunately lost her gold ring while swimming at Red Leaf Pool in Sydney in Murray Rose Bay. The Owner asked if I can use a metal detector underwater to find lost jewellery like rings, I explained that most around 50% of our lost jewellery recoveries are based underwater and the metal detectors used are rated up to 60 metres dive depth. The metal detecting search was booked in for the next day at 7:am. The owner could not join us for the search and provided the search area with photos, I then set up my gridline markers. using a grid search ensures the search area is covered accurately by the metal detector. Just one hour into the search and on the second grid line I get a real good T.ID reading from my XP Deus ll metal detector as I dug the target from the sand I see this glimmer of gold, BINGO we found the owners lost ring. I jumped out of the water and got on the phone to the owner to give her the AWESOME news. I found your lost gold ring, I put the owner on video call and she SCREAMED for joy while she was at a work conference, all her work mates came over to the video phone call to say thank you. this is another successful lost jewellery recovery and was such a nice THANK YOU from the owner and all her friends. I truly have the best job in the world, lifes a BEACH and I love it. I received a call last night from a woman who just got married on the beach. You know the traditional old saying “Something new, something borrowed, something blue and a Sixpence in your shoe”. Things a bride should have on them during their wedding for good luck. It turns out the the Sixpence has been in her family for decades and several family members have been married with this exact Sixpence. Since the ceremony was on the beach she was wearing sandals so she places the heirloom sixpence in her dress. After the wedding she noticed the sixpence was missing. I received a call this morning from a lady who said she was on a walk with her husband in Atlantic Beach when his grandfathers gold wedding band fell flung off his finger into deep grass. I received a call from this young man you told me that several days prior to him calling me he was standing in about two feet of water skimming rocks into the water at which time he felt his ring fly off his hand. He told me the next day he bought a metal detector and tried to find his ring but but did not have any luck at all. I informed him that if he directed me to the right area where he was in the water when he lost his ring that I believed I had a good chance of finding it even thou it had been a few days. He was very hesitant because my profile did not show any recoveries. I informed him that I have recovered hundreds of rings but those recoveries were from different States and I could not display them in my Florida TheRingfinders profile. I received a call from a young frantic man who had only been married 1 month. He told me he went to the beach with his family over the Memorial Day Weekend and while packing up noticed his gold & diamond wedding ring was missing. He said he searched the entire area of the beach where they were and even the next day went and bought a metal detector still unable to find his ring. He lived out of State and was on is way home. I asked if a family member could meet me at the beach and show me the area he believed he lost the ring. I searched the entire area and was unable to find the ring. I asked if he had been in the water? He told me he only went into the water to wash his hands but he made sure the ring was still on his finger when he got out of the water. I received a call late in the afternoon of July 4th from a lady who informed me she was in about 4 feet of water when a wave smashed into her. She exited the water and realized her wedding ring set was missing from her finger. She said she searched not only in the water but also about 100 yards away where she was sitting. She believed her ring was lost in the water but not 100% sure. She was at a beach called Little Talbot Island which was about 40 miles from me. I determined the best time to search was the next day. I searched for about 4 hours both in the water and on the beach with no luck. I called her up and let her know that I did not find the ring but not to give up hope as there would be some tide changes in a few days. I think she gave up faith after hearing I did not find her rings. I returned 2 days later and found her wedding set in the water about 12″-14″ buried under the sand. When I sent her a picture of her wedding set she called me crying and could not believe they were found… TESTIMONIAL: What started off as a fun 4th of July at Little Talbot Island Beach, quickly turned into panic when I realized my wedding ring and band came off of my finger in the water. I received a call today from a young lady who was very distraught as she explained to me that last week she lost both of her deceased parents wedding rings which was on a necklace around her neck. She was in her backyard when the chain broke causing both rings to fall to the ground somewhere in her back yard. She and family members searched for a week using metal detectors and probes with no luck. She works during the day so this backyard search was conducted during the nighttime. On 10/10/22 I was out detecting at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. when I was approached by a lady who asked me mid I had found a gold and diamond wedding band. She told me that she had lost her wedding band of 17 years and was heartbroken. She showed me the area where she thought she had lost the ring. I searched for a few hours with no luck finding it.
