3 rings lost at Burleigh Beach
Maria was enjoying a nice afternoon at Burleigh Beach while on holiday from Melbourne. She took off her four precious gold rings and tucked them into the corner of her towel while she swam. They were very special as her Mother had given her. After a nice swim, she came up, grabbed her towel, and flicked it before drying herself. She had forgotten about the rings and then desperately searched, but was only able to find one. In tears, she searched the internet and found Lost Jewellery Recoveries and I got the call. I was there within half an hour and she had the other 3 in her hands in less than 10 minutes. She was so greatful as losing the rings would have been a very traumatic call to her Mother. Felix Reunited with Grandma's 80yr Old Chain @ Nielsen Park
1 week ago
MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been flat out metal detecting all over Sydney returning lost treasures to owners from Wollongong to the Central Coast and everywhere in between. From Christmas eve performing many recoveries to Christmas day I was Diving the Parramatta River for a Lost iPhone 16 pro, Underwater metal detecting Manly Beach for a lost wedding ring found within the hour, 2 rings on Coogee beach Found in 5 minutes, 1 very tricky gold chain on Bondi Beach I had to dig into my metal detectors settings as this chain was buried deeper in the soft sand to find this little bugger. Christmas Eve I get a call from the owner Felix who lost his Grand mothers 80yr old silver chain at Neilsen Park while swimming the day before. Felix feared he lost his chain the day before that it will be gone forever. I explained there is that possibility however in my years of doing this in this particular location at the water depth you lost it I feel more than confident your chain is here and still within metal detection range. I meet Felix the first thing on Christmas Eve morning, all geared up with my metal detector I hit the water. 10 minutes into the search I dig a few pull tabs and a 10c coin, the wakes from the boat traffic start to concern me as it creates a shore break with a lot of sand movement. Roughly 20 minutes into the search I get a Great T.ID reading on my XP Deus ll, its 45+ a bit low for a silver ring however in the range of a silver chain that I am looking for. The first dig I missed it, it's just a bit deeper in the sand on the second scoop BINGO I see this beautiful glimmer of a silver chain, I reach down into the scoop as the sand falls through the holes exposing the whole chain. Picking up the chain I raise it from the water Felix the owner on shore see's his lost chain in my hand and he was instantly in shock thinking he will cut his loss and the chain is gone forever. I run up to Felix and ask does this chain look familiar mate? Felix replied you legend we thought no way its gone forever how did you find it so fast!! this is what I do and to be honest you Felix put me in the right search area is the reason you still have the memories of your grandmother with you. Thank you Michael, you are most welcome Felix remember if you or your friends or family ever lose anything I'm just a call away, on land or underwater I can find it mate.
